a little bit about me(;
It all started with my friends and I getting dressed up whenever we could, and heading out to the nearest field or creek to take pictures on an iPad. In middle school, thanks to my mom, I finally got my first camera. Then my family started asking if I could photograph them, with my fancy new Canon Rebel, and of course I’d say yes every time.
As I got older, this hobby became a real passion. I have always loved to paint, draw, color pencil, all of the above. I see everything around me as a potential composition. My background in art definitely shaped how I approach photography. It’s all about intentionality, and finding the beauty in those candid, in-between moments.
Then I took a film photography class, and I was hooked. There is something so special about film. It’s warm, it’s timeless, and it feels like a memory even if you know the photos were just taken the other day. That is the feeling I want every photo to have, whether it’s shot on film or digital. I want your photos to be the ones that are pulled out 50 years from now and you can remember exactly how you felt that day, and in that moment. That’s what it is all about for me.
